This course is perfect as an introduction to interpersonal skills. It’s a 30-hour course that will help you build your communication skills and boost your confidence in a supportive and welcoming group atmosphere.
Communication can be difficult and sometimes daunting, but this course will help you overcome this. You’ll learn communication skills such as active listening as an introduction to counselling.
This course is based on the person-centred approach and required participation to get the most out of it. A person-centred approach is where the person is the centre of service and treated as a person before their condition or disability. This means that you should focus on the client's goals and tailor your technique to their circumstance.
As well as this approach, we’ll discuss two other counselling models. This course will be enjoyable and educational and will promote active discussion and participation.
Entry Requirements: For this Level 2 ABC Counselling Concepts course, you don’t need any previous experience or qualifications in the field. All you need is the ability to use a computer and undertake written work.
